I've finally been playing a bit. I don't even want to think about how many papers I have to grade on this lovely Memorial Day weekend. It came out to about 15 a day, only today I went out shopping instead and bought some new clothes. I suppose they were impulse buys, and I do have to be careful about those, when I have been so good.
But I got an absolutely adorable hat, and a nice black dress and a white dress and a hair accessory from Anthropologie, which frankly I thought was too young for me. I figured I would look all hideous and bulgy but I don't. It's probably because the clothes *look* all floaty and unstructured, which looks like heck if you have any body at all, but they really aren't. They're all lined and well constructed. AND the dresses show off my knees. So between that and some stuff I got from J Peterman, I have some great stuff, if only I had somewhere to wear it.
Dinadan and Penelope gave me their first child. Well, children. Twins. BOYS. Twin boys. It's a good thing I like Dinadan, because between that and his Six Grandchildren LTW he is in my black books. They have two cats, but of course the cats can't have kittens and let the house get all full: there's only room for one more baby as it is. If the worst comes to the worst, I can let Jack and Sophia move out to their own little house, which is what I was thinking of doing anyhow. (Notice how I'm pretending that I'm not all excited to have twin boys named Gawaine and Parsifal?)
Speaking of Sim children, Nausicaa aged up and I am thrilled.

Is she cute or is she cute? She has a great personality, too: Virgo, 10/0/9/5/10. Maxed Neat, Shy, and Nice, Active, and medium playful. I'll be interested to see what aspiration she rolls. I may let Ulysses have another alien baby, too, since I'd like to see what some of the other ones might look like. But I have to wait till he can go to work and get permaplat, and Achilles has been doing at least 80% of the work. I'll have to figure out some way that Ulysses can teach her at least some of her toddler skills, because he'll be heartbroken if Achilles does it all.
Finally, some pictures from my garden:

I'm especially proud of my attack jasmine. If you look closely, you can see that it's invaded that ugly tree behind the wall.

Have a nice weekend, everybody!

Secondly, I think Dinadan is trying to make sure he gets those six grandkids. But yeah Gawaine and Parsifal are great names for Din's boys. And Nausicaa is not cute. She is adorable with a capital A. Yeah hopefully her Daddy can teach her something, he would hate to miss out on that completely.
Last but never least, the garden is lovely. You've done very well with it. I bet it smells beautiful with the jasmine and roses. My nasal passages wouldn't appreciate it at the moment simply because of allergies, but a little later in the year, definitely.

Pretty Flowers too! :)
I had a feeling that Dinadan was going to give you a boy or two; too close to the end for it to go perfectly smooth. Are you going to stop when you get a girl? Or are you going to go for the female spare as well?
Your garden is lovely and I am jealous. I have weeds and huge, round bushes right out of the 70's.
Love the pictures of your garden, too! Everything looks pretty and peaceful.
Nausi is definitely cute! I love that she doesn't look typically Eaxian but still has some "exotic" features. Pointy ears FTW.
Also... congratulations on the twins? I mean, Gawain and Parsifal are perfect names for them, and I'm sure Dinadan and Penelope are proud as peacocks, but it's going to be a minor pain for you to juggle all of that plus your need for an heiress and kittens.
